Alpesh's Brief Bio
Alpesh Patel is a writer/director/producer based in Los Angeles. From concept to distribution Alpesh has over 25 years of experience in Los Angels film and TV production including developing, writing, producing, directing, editing and marketing films and TV shows. His work has appeared Netflix, HBO Max, ABC / Disney, Discovery and many places.
Alpesh's Road to Hollywood Timeline:





​​Alpesh Earned BA in Film and TV Production from Penn State University. While there, he interned for the legendary Director of Photography, the late Ken Kelsch on the film Abel Ferrera’s black and white film, “The Addiction”
In 1998, his screenplay, "History in the Halls of Jefferson High" a spoof on 80’s high school films, made it to the semifinals in the prestigious Nicholl Fellowship competition, beating out over 4,446 other scripts. The competition held by The Academy Foundation
Alpesh wrote, directed and produced the feature film, "Graduation Night,” (2003)
The coming of age romantic comedy played at several notable film festivals including Newport International Film Festival and received distribution on Starz and was one of the first films to stream on Netflix. GN stars Adrian R'Mante (The Suite Life of Zack and Cody) and Abigail Spencer (Suits), Kevin Alejandro (Lucifer, Fire Country) and Max Gail
Alpesh’s award winning screenplay and film, “Blind Ambition” (2008) directed by Bala Rajasekharuni. BA is a romantic comedy about a blind teen Sapna aspires to run a marathon as a tribute to her deceased mother. BA stars Venessa Angel ("Bay Watch"), Christopher Atkins ("The Blue Lagoon") and Bollywood screen legend Gulshan Grover. BA faired well at many film festivals including Big Bear Lake International Film Festival, Feel Good Film Festival, Bayou City Inspirational Film Festival.
Alpesh wrote, directed and produced, “Touch Wood” (2010) is an outrageous mockumentary about an former Bollywood movie producer and traditional Father who moved to LA to make a mark in Hollywood but is forced make adult films to make a living. TW stars Gerry Bednob (40 Year Old Virgin, Zack and Miri Make A Porno) and Pramod Kumar, (Jury Duty, The Prank Panel )
In 2012, Alpesh wrote, directed and filmed a found footage in Puerto Rico called, Devil’s Door. DD is about 3 girls who go on a search for their missing friend, who they believe became possessed.
For over 20 years, Alpesh has worked as a TV editor on over 30 reality shows. He is the OG on the first season of, “Ghost Hunters, (2004), the hit reality ghost show that started the genre of paranormal reality. He enjoys this genre of reality TV over other genres.
In 2018, realizing that filmmaking and TV production is global phenomenon, Alpesh bought a building in Mechanicsburg, PA and decided to renovate and create a production / post production studio. He would go back and forth from LA to work on the studio. Since covid, he moved permanently back to Mechanicsburg, PA, and continues to work remotely for LA reality shows.
